Last night, we had “Family Time” at Brooklyn Bowl!  It was a hoot, even though poor Lauren threw out her hip.  I knew everybody called her “Grandma” for a reason!  Thanks to Brooklyn Bowl for the good times.

It’s a little slow here in the music biz this week, due a little thing I like to call SXSW.  Wes and Lauren have both abandoned NYC for Austin for the week, and Lauren had the pleasure of meeting DJ Skeet Skeet (above). Fun fact: on this day in 1981, Dan Rather made his debut as the lead anchorman of “The CBS Evening News.” Better fun fact: on this day in 2012, Lauren Glucksman had ALREADY been lead anchorlady of “FamilyRecordsTV” for 2 days.  So we all know who the winner is here.  If you haven’t seen Episode 1 yet, you can watch it right here.

Today marks the premiere episode of FamilyRecordsTV!  Each month, lead anchor Lauren Glucksman (chosen for the job solely on the basis of her seductive British accent) will be bringing all the latest Family news “straight to your earholes,” as she so eloquently puts it.  Tune in to hear what’s going on with us, and to see what life in America would be like if England had won the Revolutionary War and still dominated our news.  The episodes will appear monthly right here on our Tumblr.

It’s important to us to be involved in new ways to encourage creativity across different fields. We are not only a music company just as you are not only a music fan. These will not be official Family Records projects, just projects we come across that we believe in.
